Biography

Ron Dayman was a Canadian gay rights activist. He wrote abundantly for the Body Politic, and was a prominent member of Gay Alliance Towards Equality Toronto (GATE), Gays of Ottawa (GO), and Gay Coalition against Repression (CHAR) in Quebec. Dayman was the first secretary of the National Gay Rights Coalition, and was a key figure in the creation of the Canadian Gay Liberation Movement Archives (renamed Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives, and then The Arquives) during the 70s.
