Gerald Hannon

Gerald Hannon is a journalist who wrote for The Body Politic and is an important figure in Canada’s gay liberation movement. In 1977 his article 'Men Loving Boys Loving Men' garnered media attention and an obscenity charge, for which he was later acquitted. In 1978, he was one of three people charged with distributing indecent material because of his involvement with Pink Triangle Press, publisher of the Body Politic. All three were acquitted. Hannon was one of the first six directors of the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives.
