Biography
Pat Carney was a member of the Progressive Conservative party and the MP for the Vancouver Centre riding. In May 1980 she introduced a private member’s bill to the House of Commons to add sexual orientation to the legal grounds for discrimination, which would amend the Canadian Human Rights Act. It did not pass second reading.
