Biography
Morris Manning was a Toronto defence lawyer. He defended the five men who were charged as keeping the Barracks bathhouse as a common bawdy house after a 1978 police raid. After the February 1981 bathhouse raids Morris signed a statement calling for an explanation of police actions, and in June 1981 he held a press conference requesting a meeting between gay representatives and local police and political leaders in Toronto. The proposed meeting was rejected.
