Biography
Jérôme Choquette was a Canadian politician. After attending McGill and Columbia, he began practicing law in Montréal in 1951. He was elected as a Liberal MP in the Outrement riding in 1966, and then went on to found the National People’s Party with Fabien Roy. In 1975 he admitted that gay people had faced discrimination and did not dismiss adding sexual orientation to the proposed Charter. He was defeated in his riding in 1976, and went back to practicing law.
