Description

November Montréal Lawyer Sam Boskey filed a complaint with the Quebec Press Council against radio station CJAD and an announcer's comments regarding two gay men who were not allowed to dance together at Disneyland. The announcer remarked that the men might fight Disneyland on the issue, if they were capable of making a fist. On May 11, 1981, the Council ruled that the remarks were "pejorative" and violated Québec's Charter of Rights and Freedoms and also the regulations of the CRTC.
