Kingston, Ont. The Toronto Wages for Housework Committee and Wages Due Lesbians organized two petitions. The first petition protested the government's plan to reduce the minimum wage in establishments where alcohol was served, under the assumption that tips would compensate for the loss in wages. The second petition protested the federal government’s plan to both cut back and tax family allowances.
