March 22 Saskatoon The University of Saskatchewan's Campus Council debated the recommendations of the Schmeiser Committee, established to investigate the need for anti-discrimination policies at the university. After long and bitter debate the Council decided that the university should not consider sexual orientation in decisions concerning hiring or assignment of duties, including appointments of dons in residences. (See also April 21, 1976.)
