Spring Saskatoon The Committee of Gays for the Re-election ofJohn Richards was formed in preparation for the June 11 provincial election. Richards (Ind. Soc.-Saskatoon-Centre), elected in 1971, had been supportive of the gay community and had raised the issue of gay rights in the legislature. Richards went down to defeat in the election.
