April 25 Regina MLA John Richards (Ind. Soc.-Saskatoon-Centre) presented a petition to the Saskatchewan legislature calling for the inclusion of a sexual orientation clause in all provincial human rights legislation. During question period the next day, Mr. Richards asked Attorney-General Roy Romanow about the government's intentions. Romanow replied that the government was considering the matter but had not reached a decision. Mr. Richards's actions were spurred by the lobbying of members of Saskatoon Gay Action.
