Description

February 27 Ottawa Members of GO demanded the right to speak at a workshop for social workers and doctors entitled "Behaviour Therapy and Sexual Dysfunction," featuring psychiatrists Alan Goldstein and Deborah Phillips from Temple University, Philadelphia, and sponsored by the Centre for Behaviour Therapy and Assessment, GO was determined to speak at the session because the doctors displayed anti-gay prejudices and were interested in "reversing" sexual orientation through the use of treatments such as aversion therapy. Charles Hill, president of GO, was allowed to speak for fifteen minutes.
