May Toronto The Toronto Star refused to accept an advertisement for Glad Day Bookshop, stating that the ad tended to "proselytise for the homosexual movement." Glad Day lodged a complaint against the Star with the Ontario Press Council. Later, the Star declared that it would reconsider printing the ad if the word "gay" was changed to "homosexual." Glad Day refused this request. (see also October 12,1974.)
