November 1 Toronto Constable Robert Hall, a police officer accused of common assault by Adrienne Potts, one of the Brunswick Four, was acquitted. Potts and four of her friends were in turn found in contempt of court for refusing to stand. Pat Murphy chose to go to jail for three days rather than pay a $25 fine. (see also April 1975.)
