Description

August 21 Toronto A coalition of Ontario gay organizations, represented by GATE (Toronto), presented the brief "The Homosexual Minority and the Ontario Human Rights Code" to Ontario Labour Minister Fern Guindon, calling for an amendment to the Ontario Human Rights Code to outlaw discrimination based on sexual orientation. Copies of the brief were also sent to Ontario Human Rights Commission representatives in Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Ottawa, and Windsor. (See also February 18,1974.)
