Description
October Edmonton Michael Roberts of GATE (Edmonton) mailed a brief to members of the Alberta legislature requesting that sexual orientation be included in the proposed anti-discrimination legislation Bill 2, The Individual's Rights Protection Act. The Alberta Bill of Rights and The Individual's Rights Protection Act became law on January 1, 1973, but without a clause outlawing discrimination based on sexual orientation.
