Description

June 17-18 Montréal FLH held a dance to celebrate the opening of its new gay centre at 279, rue Ste. Catherine E. Police raided the event and charged forty people with being found in an establishment that was selling liquor without a permit. Although all charges were later dropped on a technicality, attendance at the centre fell. The executive of the FLH resigned and the group collapsed by the autumn of 1972.
