October Vancouver The Gay People's Alliance was formed at the University of British Columbia. Its purpose was to provide a nucleus for gay social life on campus. Although it was originally founded by two members of the old Vancouver GLF, the Gay People's Alliance was not initially interested in political action. The group was succeeded by Gay People of UBC in September 1972. (see also September 1972.)
