September Toronto Jearld Moldenhauer announced at a meeting of TGA that a gathering would be held at his home at 65 Kendal Avenue, Apt. 8, concerning the formation of a new gay newspaper. Members of TGA had been mulling over the idea of starting a paper to reflect gay consciousness and community since at least the August 28 march in Ottawa. About ten people attended the meeting, which was the first planning session of what would become The Body Politic. (see also October 28,1971).
