Description
Toronto Craig Russell (pseud., of Russell Craig Eadie) made his debut as an impersonator of famous female stars in gay establishments such as Club 511 and Club Manatee. By 1972 Russell was touring Canada and the United States with his one-person show. His international stardom was confirmed by 1977 with the release of the film Outrageous, which showcased his talents. A sequel, Too Outrageous, was released ten years later. Craig Russell died from AIDS-related complications in 1990.
