April 19 Montréal Gemini I, a social club for gays and lesbians, opened at 1285, boul. Maisonneuve O. Operated by Paul Bédard, the club was open to members of International Sex Equality Anonymous (ISEA). This was Montreal's first private club for gays and lesbians, but by May 24,1969, it had closed.
