June 1 Hamilton Rev. George Johnston, professor of New Testament studies in the faculty of divinity at McGill University, declared that the Christian Church could never approve or condone any type of homosexuality, and that it would always be impossible for a practising homosexual to be also a practising Christian. Rev. Johnston's remarks were made at the second North American Conference on Church and Family Life.
