May 15 Montréal Claude Jutra's film À tout prendre/Take It All opened at the Saint-Denis and Bijou theatres. A first-person, autobiographical narrative filmed between 1961 and 1963, À tout prendre was the first feature film made in Québec to explore a homosexual theme. It starred Jutra, Johanne Harrelle, and Victor Désy, and was shown at the Festival International du Film in Montréal in August 1963. English subtitles (written by Leonard Cohen) were added later.
