Description

June 9 Toronto Representatives of GATE (Toronto) appeared before a meeting of the Special Joint Committee on Immigration Policy, held at the Park Plaza Hotel. Hundreds of demonstrators marched outside of the hotel on Avenue Road, including a large gay contingent carrying signs and distributing leaflets protesting the federal government's exclusion of gay immigrants.
