Biography
Mariana Valverde is a feminist author and University of Toronto professor. She presented Ontario Minister of Labour Robert Elgie with a version of the brief “Discrimination and the Gay Minority” in May 1979. Valverde was a member of The Body Politic collective, and in February 1980 she published an article in the Body Politic entitled “Feminism Meets Fist-fucking: Getting Lost in Lesbian S&M”.
