Biography
James Fraser was one of the first six directors of the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives. On March 7, 1979, he was the only counter-demonstrator against anti-gay demonstrations outside Queen's Park demanding the creation of a government body to protect children's rights, following the logic that these rights were being undermined by militant homosexuals. He was also a key figure in the Lesbian and Gay History Project, which started in December 1980.
