Biography
Edward Albee was a Pulitzer Prize-winning American playwright known for his play "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?" In 1973, an altered version of the play opened in Montréal in which the lead characters were gay. It was stopped by Albee after the first show. Albee was also the recipient of Kennedy Honors, the National Medal of the Arts, and a Tony Lifetime Achievement Award.
