April Toronto The Royal Commission into Metropolitan Toronto Police Practices began hearings under Ontario Supreme Court Justice Donald Morand. Pat Murphy testified concerning mistreatment during her arrest as one of the Brunswick Four. The Commission's report was released on June 30,1976, and concluded that in the case of the Brunswick Four the police officers had not used excessive force and that the women had been abusive to the police.
