Biography
André Baudry was the leader of the French homophile movement. In 1954 he launched the monthly homophile periodical "Arcadie," which soon faced bans by the French government. In 1957 he founded the Club Littéraire et Scientifique des Pays Latins, or Literary and Scientific Club of the Latin Countries (Clespala, also known as Arcadie). He was the featured guest of a colloquium in Québec in May 1976, hosted by the Centre humanitaire d'aide et de liberation (Humanitarian Centre for Aid and Liberation).
