Description

Winter Montreal Lise Moisan published a report in La Vie en rose on the American Right Wing's agenda for "savage" capitalism and "civilized" Christianity. The three-page article offered an overview of some of the main campaign strategies used by the far right. It covered the censorship campaign led by the Moral Majority movement of the book "Our Bodies Ourselves", captured the fight of the right to ratify the Human Life Amendment, and summarized the Right Wing's Family Protection Act program and the accompanying push for more fundamentalist schools. It cited anti-gay activism by Anita Bryant (anti-gay activist), Jerry Falwell (Moral Majority president), Orinn Hatch, Mark Hatfied, Jesse Helms and Bob Dornan (United States Senators), Richard A. Viguerie (from Conservative Digest), and Gary Potter (from Catholics for Christian Political Action).
