July 10 Edmonton Bob Lundrigan, chairman of the Alberta Human Rights Commission, stated that he believed other Canadian rights commissions were focusing too much on gays while ignoring the plight of other minority groups. Lundrigan told a meeting of the Alberta Commission, "I don't see how we can advocate protection of gays, who don't appear to have a demonstrated problem, while ignoring others."
