Description

August 13–16 Toronto The Day Nursery Review Board, an administrative tribunal, heard testimony to determine whether the gay group home Tri-Aid should be registered under the Children's Boarding Home Act. Testimony was heard from supporters and opponents of Tri-Aid. Arguments tended to focus on the competency of the staff, the size and location of the house, and, particularly, fears concerning the sexual orientation of the staff and the dangers of sexual involvement with the teenage residents of the home.
