June 10 Toronto Six hundred feminists and lesbians attended the founding meeting of the Feminist Party of Canada (FPC). During question period, Peg McCuaig of the Southern Ontario Union of Lesbians (SOUL) asked how the FPC would react to the participation of visible lesbians in the organization. Although the crowd applauded, organizers tried to evade the question.
