Description
July 25 Ottawa Parliament passed an amended Immigration Act (1976) that removed homosexuals from the list of inadmissible classes of person. The amended act replaced the Immigration Act of 1952, and came into force on April 10, 1978. This was seen as the first victory on the national level for NGRC.
