Description

May 18-19 Edmonton Thirty-five delegates from across the Prairie provinces attended the Second Prairie Gay Liberation Conference, sponsored by GATE (Edmonton). Workshops were held, as well as discussions on campaigns for the inclusion of sexual orientation in provincial human rights codes, gay election activity, and work in the NDP. Delegates passed several resolutions, including a call for coordinated public actions across the Prairies on June 28 to protest the failure of the federal government's Green Paper on Immigration and Population to recommend deletion of anti-gay clauses in the Immigration Act.
