Description

May 1 Montréal A lesbian and gay contingent of about sixty people took part in the annual May Day march for workers' solidarity. The group carried its own banner and placards and was generally well-received by the other marchers. This was by far the largest openly gay contingent in a Montreal demonstration to that time.
