Description
March Montréal The Groupe homosexuel d'action politique (GHAP), a lesbian and gay organization with an anti-capitalist perspective, was formed. Members of GHAP participated in several women's and workers' marches, including the International Women's Day march on March 8 and the May Day march on May 1, and in the National Gay Rights Conference in Ottawa, June 28-July 1, 1975. During 1975-76, GHAP attempted to develop a gay Marxist ideology, linking workers, women, and gays, but the group disbanded by the end of 1976.
