Description

November 7 Ottawa Twenty-five members of GO picketed the national convention of the Liberal Party, meeting at the Chateau Laurier, to demand inclusion of a sexual orientation clause in the federal government's proposed Canadian Human Rights Act. The demonstration was held to coincide with Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau's arrival at the convention. When confronted by the picketers, Trudeau just waved and smiled. The protesters also distributed the NGRC/CNDH's pamphlet "The Homosexual Minority and the Canadian Human Rights Act" to convention delegates.
