Description
Summer Ottawa The management and employees of the Lord Elgin Hotel's bars attempted to discourage gay customers by barring obviously gay people and by imposing arbitrary dress codes. This led to a brief gay boycott of the hotel. The Lord Elgin's lounge (main floor) and tavern (downstairs) had been gay meeting places for years.
