May 19 Hamilton The Canadian Unitarian Council voted sixteen to five (with seventeen abstentions) against a resolution recommending changes in federal and provincial human rights codes and the Canadian Immigration Act to provide equal treatment and protection for homosexuals. Members of the Gay Caucus were shocked as they had expected the resolution to pass easily.
