Description

Summer Ontario and Quebec Ellen Woodsworth and Judith Quinlan quit their jobs for the summer and travelled all over Ontario and Quebec in a converted school bus, selling feminist and children's books from their women's liberation bookmobile, Cora. The collection focused on the history of women in Canada, birth control, day care, food pricing, and feminist literature and poetry. To raise money for the project, Quinlan and Woodsworth sold photocopies of articles at a penny a piece, but most women, even if interested in the articles and books, could not afford to buy copies.
