Description
January 6, Edmonton The first Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) services held in Edmonton were conducted at the Unitarian Church by gay activist Michael Roberts, who was a student in the MCC ministry. Fifteen people (all male) participated in the services. The Unitarian Church later passed a resolution positive to gays, and offered to make their facilities available to the gay community. By August, however, the MCC was still struggling to develop a presence in Edmonton. (see also June 1975.)
