Description

September 27 Winnipeg GFE presented the brief "Manitoba Homosexuals: A Minority without Rights" to Attorney-General Howard Pawley, urging the provincial government to amend its Human Rights Act to protect gay people from discrimination. Pawley replied that "no change will be made to the Act." Although he admitted that protection for homosexuals was needed, Pawley thought that the vast majority of the NDP caucus would be against it.
