June 25 Winnipeg The question of protection from discrimination based on sexual orientation was raised during an all-candidates town hall meeting in St. Boniface constituency, leading up to the July 8 federal election. The Progressive Conservative candidate, Dr. John Hare, advised the questioner to " 'go back to where you came from,' because homosexuality 'doesn't belong in a political discussion.' "
