February 20 Vancouver GATE (Vancouver) submitted a brief to B.C. Labour Minister William King requesting that the provincial Human Rights Act be amended to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. The minister, whose department administered the Act, had said that a commission would be appointed to consider changes to the Human Rights Act. (See also August 29, 1973.)
