November 16 Toronto Toronto police charged Reg Hartt, director of the Rochdale College Cinema Archives, with possession of obscene material for distribution, after seizing three sex films in a raid on his home. Two of the films were gay classics (Bijou and The Boys in the Sand); the third was Deep Throat.
