Description

June 17 Ottawa GO sponsored Ottawa's first public gay dance, held at Pestalozzi College. Over 100 people attended the event. The GO dances became very popular, but were discontinued in January 1975 after the Liquor Licensing Board of Ontario refused to continue to grant liquor permits for events held at Pestalozzi College, which they had decided was a residence.
