Toronto Rebecca Sisler's biography of Canadian sculptors Frances Loring and Florence Wyle, The Girls, was published by Clarke, Irwin. For more than fifty years Loring (1887-1968) and Wyle (1881-1968) shared their studio quarters and lives. Although Sisler recognized their life-long, same-sex support structure, she concluded that they were not lesbians.
