Description
November Toronto The first column by Twilight Rose (pseud, of John Forbes), entitled "The Gay Ghetto," appeared in The Body Politic. Reprinted from the Georgia Straight, Rose's column (later renamed "Twilight Trails") contained general commentary and gossip on the gay scene in both Vancouver and Toronto. One focus of the column was reports on activities of the Ephemerals, a group of gender-bending drag street revolutionaries founded in Vancouver by Forbes and Ron Whinton. Twilight Rose retired after issue eight of The Body Politic (Spring 1973).
