June 6-12 Washington, D.C. A group of fourteen Unitarians formed a gay caucus at the annual general assembly of the Unitarian Universalist (U.U.) Association. One of the leading organizers of the group was Elgin Blair, of Toronto, who would edit the U.U. Gay Caucus Newsletter from the first issue in September 1971 through June 1973.
