November 26 Toronto Edward Knight, operator of Le Trique Club, 14 Breadalbane Street, was sentenced to one year in prison for conspiring to burn down a rival gay club, the August Club, above the Parkside Tavern. A fire at the August Club in February 1970 had caused $15,000 damage.
